PRINCIPLE 90/10 (Stephen Covey)

How is it the 90/10 principle?- 10% of your life happen because of what your direct experience.- 90% of life is determined by how you react.
What does he mean? You can not control 10% of what happens on your self.
For example:- You can not avoid the congestion.- The plane was late arriving and it will throw your whole schedule- Congestion has hindered all your plans.
You can not control the conditions of 10%.But unlike other 90% .. You can control the 90% of this.
How do I? From the way you react! You can not control a red light, but you can control your reaction.
Let us see the example below:Condition 1You are eating breakfast with your family.Your child accidentally knocking the coffee cup you drink so that you soaked dirty work clothes. You can not control what had just happened.
Your reaction:You snapped your child for knocking the coffee into your clothes.Your child breaks down in tears. After scolding her, you turn to your spouse and criticize her for placing the cup too close to the edge table.
A short verbal battle. You storm upstairs and change your clothes.Back to the dining room, your child is still crying to finish breakfast and get ready.
Eventually your child misses the bus.Your wife must leave immediately for work. You rush to the car and drive your child to school.Because you are late, your car's speed with a speed of 70 km / h while the speed limit should only be 60 km / hr.
After 15 minutes late and was forced to pocket USD 600.000, -because the traffic violation, you finally got to the school.Your child as soon as possible out of the car without saying goodbye.
After arriving at the office where your 20 minutes late, you just remembered that the bagyou left at home.
Your day has started terrible. If passed it will get worse.Mind you disturbed because conditions at home.
On arrival at home, you encounter some interference relationship with your spouse and your children.
Why? Because of how you reacted in the morning.
Why do you have a bad day?A. Does coffee cause it?B. Did your daughter cause it?C. Did the policeman cause traffic?D. Did you cause it?
The answer is D which is the cause is your own!
You can not control myself after what happened in the cup of coffee. How you reacted in those 5 seconds is what caused your bad day.
Here is what you should or should happened.
Condition 2The liquid coffee watering your clothes.Once your child will cry, you say softly: "It's okay darling, next time be careful yes." You take a small towel and ran into the room. After changing clothes and took the briefcase, you go to the window and see your child getting on the bus, waving a hand to you.You then gently kiss your wife on the cheek and say: "See you dinner tonight."
You arrive 5 minutes early and with a bright face reprimand your staff.Your boss commented on the spirit and the brightness of your day at the office.
Did you see the difference in both conditions?
2 (two) different scenarios, starting with the same conditions, ending withdifferent conditions.
Why?
Apparently the cause is by how you react!
You can not control 10% of that already happening. The other 90% depends on your own reactions.
This is a way to apply the 90/10 principle:If there are people who say bad things about you, do not be a sponge.Let the attack flowed like water in a glass. You do not let the negative comment affect you.
React potluck or wrong reaction, it will cause you: losing friends, get fired, stress and others are harmful.
How do you react if your car stalled and late in the office? Will you be angry?Pound on the steering wheel?Cursed?Does your blood pressure will go up soon?Who cares if you arrive 10 seconds? Why let the cars ruin your day?Try to remember the 90/10 principle and do not worry, your problems will be quickly resolved.
Another example:- You're fired. Why do you lose sleep and worry? A time will be no way out. Use the energy and time worrying to find another job.
- The plane was too late.Is going to mangle your schedule. Why do you get angry to the ticket officer at the airport? They no control over what happens. Why should I stress? This condition will only worsen your condition. Use your time to study the situation, read a book that you carry, or know the other passenger.
Now you know the 90-10 principle. Use it in your daily activities and you will be amazed at the results. Nothing is lost and the result is amazing.
Already millions of people suffer from stress, weight problems, trials of life and heartache that in fact this can be overcome if we understand how to use the 90/10 principle.

Difference Between Genius and Crazy Very Thin?

The idea that there is a connection between genius and madness has fascinated many people for a long time. The thought arises because people see a lot of leaders genius who appears to have psychiatric disorders.
Isaac Newton (physicist), Ludwig van Beethoven (composer), Edgar Allan Poe (writer), Vincent van Gogh (painter) and John Nash (mathematician) are examples of people who experience mental disorders genius until schizofrenia.
But experts are still debating the issue. Ongoing research to create a clear definition between genius and insanity.
"The boundaries between normal, abnormal, and supernormal still not much satisfactory. Is it possible someone could be considered eccentric behavior of madness for others. Does someone who is insane may be considered a genius by others. And if the genius is too far ahead of his time thinking, great ideas that might not be appreciated unless he has died, "said Dr Kenneth Lyen, pediatrics and author of the creativity of the brain that is also a doctor at Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore in his journal that was published in sma.org, Thursday (02/25/2010).
A genius is vaguely defined as a person who is very creative and able to make significant contributions to humanity, often against the grip-grip and build a new paradigm.
While mental disorders or insanity is a pattern of psychological or behavioral disorders that occur in someone who caused due to mental pressure or interference in the nerve, but for some kind of craziness like schizofrenia have not even found the cause.
But in 2007, as reported by dailymail, scientists have found a gene linking intelligence with one form of insanity, namely schizofrenia. The results showed that the things that happen on the world leaders that caused by a particular gene, known as DARPP-32.
American scientists found that the same gene was also formed and controlled by a neural circuit involved closely with schizofrenia. This circuit connects the prefrontal cortex with other parts of the brain, stiatum. It affects brain function in patients schizofrenia such as motivation, working memory and certain kinds of learning.
The researchers, who reported his findings in the Journal of Clinical Investigation, studied more than 1,000 DNA samples from healthy individuals and patients with schizofrenia.
Another theory is also interesting to see research genius and insanity is "biososial theory of creativity". In essence, this theory states that creativity is genetic and as such a genius is born not made.
This might explain why the world creative figures such as the painters Van Gogh and author Jack Kerouac that genius was also suffering from psychotic disorders. They both hailed as geniuses, but instead indicate self-destructive behaviors.
But many do not agree that similar sort of crazy genius. People cultivate genius crazy thoughts into constructive (building). While the madman makes constructive thoughts become destructive (destroyed).
"People can go crazy but genius madman can not be a genius," said the line of people who do not want crazy equated with genius.
Meanwhile, according to Dr Kenneth Lyen at least there are 7 disease linking between insanity and genius, although it is still difficult condition was diagnosed.

3. SchizofreniaSchizofrenia is a severe psychiatric disorder characterized by hallucinations, delusions, blunted emotions and a deep withdrawal. Examples of genius John Nash's schizophrenia is affected.
4. Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)OCD is a psychiatric condition characterized by pressures to think and behave continuously. Like the obsession to continue to wash their hands, repeatedly checking the door because there is a feeling uncomfortable. Famous people who show a tendency of OCD include Nicola Tesla, Howard Hughes, and Marc Summers.

6. Terminal IllnessAlthough not a psychiatric condition, terminal illness can trigger a tremendous emotional response to the sufferer. John Stuart Mills had tuberculosis, which is incurable and causes a slow death. After diagnosis, he began writing works that would make him famous.
7. EpilepsyThe disease is also not a psychiatric problem, but many intelligent people have a history of epilepsy. Since this is the condition of the brain then this is relevant when discussing the superior brain function. Famous people who suffer from epilepsy include Julius Caesar, Alexander the Great, Napoleon Bonaparte, Pyotr Tchaikovsky, Charles Dickens, George Handel and Hector Berlioz.
