How is it the 90/10 principle?- 10% of your life happen because of what your direct experience.- 90% of life is determined by how you react.
What does he mean?You can not control 10% of what happens on your self.
For example:- You can not avoid the congestion.- The plane was late arriving and it will throw your whole schedule- Congestion has hindered all your plans.
You can not control the conditions of 10%.But unlike other 90% .. You can control the 90% of this.
How do I? From the way you react!You can not control a red light, but you can control your reaction.
Let us see the example below:Condition 1You are eating breakfast with your family.Your child accidentally knocking the coffee cup you drink so that you soaked dirty work clothes.You can not control what had just happened.
Your reaction:You snapped your child for knocking the coffee into your clothes.Your child breaks down in tears.After scolding her, you turn to your spouse and criticize her for placing the cup too close to the edge table.
A short verbal battle.You storm upstairs and change your clothes.Back to the dining room, your child is still crying to finish breakfast and get ready.
